The whole country mourns the loss of King Harald. Norway has lost a unifying figure – a warm, wise and approachable King who stood by his people throughout a long life.
For decades, NTB’s photographers have documented the King’s life. We have followed him on official state visits, in meetings with everyday heroes, at sports arenas and in quiet moments with his family.
NTB’s editorial team is covering all events surrounding the passing of King Harald V of Norway, the succession, and the funeral. King Harald's funeral will take place at Oslo Cathedral on Wednesday 9 September at 1 pm CEST.
For official events with restricted access, NTB acts as the photo pool. This means our photographers are present on behalf of all Norwegian and international media to document the events. The images will be made available for purchase by the press.
